  1. Freeloader

Posted by Mark on 27th Apr 2009

Hi, I am one of the owners of BettaOnline.com.au and I would like to share my review on this product.

I tested the Freeloader Solar Charger using a variety of different mobile phones and other rechargeable devices. The phones I used in the test were a variety of: Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, iPhone and Blackberry. I also used a 60Gb iPod and a Sony PSP. I used these devices to test all of the different Solar Chargers we offer.

Firstly, the Freeloader is probably the simplest Solar Charger to use. There are no buttons or switches, you just need to attach the solar panels and leave it in the sun for a few hours, then simply use the correct attachment for your phone and plug it in. By leaving the Freeloader in the direct sunlight for about 5 hours was enough to fully charge a mobile phone or approx 90% charge a 60Gb iPod or PSP.

The aluminium casing makes the Freeloader a very durable unit; it can be knocked about a fair bit without causing any damage. Its very compact in size and very light weight; fits into your shirt pocket very easily and great for any outdoor activities where you may need some backup power for your phone or iPod.

The Freeloader can also be charged up by plugging it into the USB port of a computer, so if you need to charge it up during the night time, just plug it into your computer and it will fully charge the Freeloader's internal battery within about 3 - 4 hours

If you have any questions on this product please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to answer you asap.

    By for now…………………Mark.
